With Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock and now Triple H making their way into the Bandai Tamashii Nations S.H. Figuarts WWE wrestling action figure line, the Attitude Era is back, here to stay, and has never looked so good!
Gimme a hell yeah! Stone Cold Steve Austin re-emerges in Mattel WWE Defining Moments with a classic look and a tribute like never before. The latest Mattel WWE Defining Moments figure will feature Stone Cold with a memorable ring attire, complete with ring trunks, knee braces and a removable Austin 3:16 vest.
He is the Great One! Now, for the millions and millions of The Rock’s fans, a version will be released representing the time frame of when he stepped out on his own and became one of the biggest superstars in the history of professional wrestling! The latest Mattel WWE Ringside Collectibles Exclusive is The Rock…The Brahma Bull!
Showcasing The Rock’s look from the Attitude Era, the figure is based on The Rock’s Summerslam 1998 Intercontinental Championship defense against Triple H. With trunks taken from around that time frame to best represent The Rock, the figure will embody the style and look that only Rocky could make possible.
The Rock faced off with Triple H in a grueling ladder match for the Intercontinental Championship. The Intercontinental Championship, shown in this promo image with a purple strap, will be included in the Mattel WWE Brahma Bull Rock Exclusive! Wrestling figure fans are now offered this style of the Intercontinental Championship with an Elite figure for only the second time, and the only time with the purple strap.
A ladder match would be incomplete without a ladder, so fans of The Rock will also be lucky enough to receive an accessory of the very yellow ladder used in the Summerslam 1998 match! A unique look that has seldom been seen since, this version of a ladder will look as authentic as possible for wrestling figures!
The only released version of The Rock during his time in The Nation of Domination and one of the very few released versions of The Rock during the thick of the Attitude Era, the Mattel WWE Ringside Collectibles Brahma Bull Exclusive will remind fans what it means to know their roll and shut their mouth. With the opportunity to defend against D-Generation X and bring in a new, edgier and more intense era of wrestling, The Rock is a staple of WWE history and the Mattel WWE Brahma Bull Rock Exclusive proves it.

Ringside Collectibles was once again present at Toy Fair 2014 to see all the Mattel WWE wrestling action figures on display! With a healthy showcase of Mattel WWE Elites, WWE Series and WWE Battle Packs, fans got a look with Ringside Collectibles at the latest Mattel WWE figures they had to offer.
Mattel brought out their latest from Mattel WWE Series 36, Mattel WWE Series 38 and Mattel WWE Series 39, showcasing the vast roster of WWE Superstars they have available on a regular basis. Included in Mattel WWE Series 36, Kaitlyn, Fandango, Big E Langston, Christian, CM Punk and Jack Swagger. Also in WWE Series 38 were Vickie Guerrero, Dolph Ziggler, Chris Jericho, Sheamus, The Miz and Kofi Kingston sporting new, long tights.
The set that got the WWE wrestling figure universe buzzing came in the form of Mattel WWE Series 39, never before seen and including Christian with a new headsculpt, Rob Van Dam with his first time in WWE Series form, Heath Slater with a new ‘rock band’ style look, Justin Gabriel with his updated look, John Cena and the debut figure of Wyatt Family leader, Bray Wyatt.
Also on display were the Mattel WWE Elites, including Mattel WWE Elite 26 and Mattel WWE Elite 27. Included in Mattel WWE Elite 26 were Roman Reigns, Ultimate Warrior, Mark Henry, Jack Swagger, ‘Road Dogg’ Jesse James and Big E Langston.
Recently seen by WrestlingFigures.com fans but still a perfect set to wow those who haven’t seen them, Mattel WWE Elite 27 included Rob Van Dam with his first Mattel WWE figure ever and first Mattel WWE Elite, ‘Bad Ass’ Billy Gunn rounding out the New Age Outlaws, Rikishi Fatu with amazing accessories and adding to ‘Attitude Era’ Legends having been released, Undertaker with an updated robe, Kofi Kingston with updated long tights and an amazingly bright, colorful and seductive Mattel WWE Elite Fandango, his first time in the Elite Series.
Also on display were Mattel WWE Battle Packs, including Battle Packs Series 26 with The Shield (Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins), Nikki Bella and Brie Bella (The Bella Twins), and Curtis Axel facing off with The Game, Triple H.
Surprising fans everywhere, however, was the as-yet unseen Mattel WWE Battle Packs 27 including Daniel Bryan and Randy Orton, The Big Show fighting Mark Henry and the now fading Tag Team, Tons of Funk (Brodus Clay and ‘Sweet T’ aka Tensai.) Tensai’s purple hat and smiling, happy demeanor has been an exciting treat for Mattel WWE wrestling figure fans as they enjoy an immortalized version of a happy-go-lucky Tensai who is transitioning to a commentary role for the WWE.
Mattel’s WWE display was rounded off with an incredible centerpiece in the Ringside Collectibles Exclusive ECW CM Punk. The ECW CM Punk includes an entirely new head sculpt, an ECW microphone accessory, ECW Championship accessory and X-Ray style CM Punk t-shirt accessory. Fans got their first in person look at the figure on display at Toy Fair 2014.
Mattel, as always, was nice enough to let Ringside Collectibles film their Mattel WWE wrestling figure display, and you can view that footage here:

Until now, Mattel WWE Championships, also known as wrestling figure belts, have only widely been available when included with other Mattel WWE figures. For fans who need wrestling figure belts for their collection but don’t want to spring for an exclusive figure or are not a fan of who they might be included with, Ringside Collectibles is offering some loose wrestling figure belts for what is most likely only a limited time. Championship belts are an important part of playing with wrestling figures and there are currently four available on their own.
Fans of the classic late 80’s to mid-90’s era of wrestling will instantly recognize the Winged Eagle WWE Championship, here as a Mattel WWE accessory. With detailed gold plates, a prestigious eagle and declaration of championship on the front faceplate, it’s a championship visibly held by the likes of Hulk Hogan, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and more. Any fan of classic wrestling and classic wrestling figures will be looking for this as part of their collection.
Throughout wrestling history, few Superstars have been given custom versions of their World Championship, and one of the best examples is the Smoking Skull WWE Championship, made especially for Stone Cold Steve Austin. With a skull in the front of the title and smoking coming from its eyes, many fans of the Attitude Era remember this championship fondly and how Stone Cold would whip and toss it around on his way to the ring. Stone Cold Steve Austin fans can easily add this to their Stone Cold wrestling figure collection.
The Attitude Era brought about a re-design of the WWE Championship that many fans still miss and fondly remember to this day, including former WWE Champion Chris Jericho. With a perfectly round faceplate and a blue globe in the center, it embodied what it meant to truly be the world champion. It’s a must have for fans of the era where the belt was a centerpiece, and the perfect wrestling figure belt to add to your classic wrestling figures.
For fans of wrestling in general, TNA may not be the top company but they hold their own and do have a prestigious World Heavyweight Championship. That title is replicated by Jakks with this die-cast, leather strapped version that even includes velcro for a perfect fit. For wrestling figure fans looking to expand their roster or even creating separate brands, the TNA World Heavyweight Championship is a perfect place to begin. Creating multiple brands with multiple champions make ‘invading’ your other wrestling figures federations endless and offer ripe possibilities for plenty of fun.

Since finding a new home in the WWE after years of absence, the New Age Outlaws have rekindled the fans love for their anti-authority antics and reinvigorated the true meaning of D-Generation X. However, they recently betrayed CM Punk and walked out on him in the middle of a tag team match with The Shield. While they claim they are not in cahoots with COO and fellow D-Generation X member Triple H, all arrows seem to point in that direction. In the meantime, modern day fans get to enjoy an Attitude Era staple that hasn’t changed much since it’s original run, the tag team of the New Age Outlaws. As the Outlaws continue to make their presence felt, their Mattel WWE figures add new depth to the rosters of wrestling figure collectors who love mixing the ‘old’ with the ‘new.’
Road Dogg Jesse James was released first in Mattel WWE Elite 26, complete with hat and two D-Generation X style shirts. His ‘shake, rattle and roll’ finish can be re-enacted and he can be posed like a true degenerate. Welcome to the Dogg house takes on entirely new meaning with such a detailed figure.
Road Dogg’s partner in crime, the ‘Bad Ass’ Billy Gunn has yet to be put on display by Mattel. Speculation runs rampant as to which outfit would best suit Mr. Ass, but the possibilities are endless. The most likely choices are either green with lips featured or pink with lips featured on the ‘rear’ and front. Billy Gunn looks almost exactly the same as he did during the Attitude Era, so fitting him in with the rest of your Mattel WWE figures should be no problem.
It is unknown whether or not DX has a corporate agenda, but after their actions against CM Punk on RAW it can only be assumed that even D-Generation X will do what’s ‘best for business.’
