Each and every year, fans start off the Road to WrestleMania with a huge bang! After defying the odds at WrestleMania XXX, Daniel Bryan proved he is one of the most powerfully motivated, top WWE Superstars of all time. In Mattel WWE Elite 32, the beard is here, the Yes! Movement lives on and fans have an almost exact version of Daniel Bryan as he’ll likely appear in the 2015 Royal Rumble. Shouting Yes! should be a no brainer for this one. It could be even more of a no brainer that Daniel Bryan goes the distance for a second year and pulls out a win.

Is Batista Getting the Right Reaction From the WWE Universe?

Batista returned to the WWE just in time to participate in the 2014 Royal Rumble. The WWE Universe seemed underwhelmed by his return as he set his sights on the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and looked to send a message to the rest of the WWE locker room by taking out Alberto Del Rio. Some were very excited, but many felt it wasn’t the explosive return they were looking for. Regardless, Batista made it clear he was in the WWE to stay for the time being.

Mattel WWE Series 37 Batista Wrestling Figure!

Before leaving the WWE, Batista had a storied career, competing at WrestleMania multiple times and becoming WWE Champion. The Mattel WWE Series 37 version of Batista celebrates WrestleMania heritage and calls back to a simpler time when Batista didn’t sport many tattoos, had just given up being a deacon and followed behind his longer standing companions in Evolution. Here is an appearance from one of his first WrestleManias as ‘The Animal’ complete with trunks stating the like and black strapped boots.

Batista wore a very cool, skin tight white and red track jacket, grey pants and sunglasses upon his WWE return in 2014. Just in time for WrestleMania XXX, Batista returned to the Mattel WWE line in a Battle Pack with Brock Lesnar as a ‘fantasy match-up.’ With accurate tattoos and a heavy beard, The Animal faces off with The Beast in a match that the WWE Universe anticipates at some point in the career of both staple wrestlers. This is perfect timing as it is in line with the actual return of Batista to the WWE so fans will have The Animal available.

No doubt eventually slated for release, a Mattel WWE version of Batista winning the 2014 Royal Rumble is likely to be a desire of wrestling figure fans who both like and dislike Batista. His red ring shoes, black trunks and new physique are enough to get wrestling figure fans talking, but the WWE Universe as a whole did not react well to his Royal Rumble win. The question remains, what does the WWE Universe want from The Animal? Are they looking for a hero to change the landscape of the WWE, or have they find another enemy for the heroes they are hoping to have more of an impact?

Sheamus Makes His Way Back to the WWE! His Mattel WWE Figures Never Left!

Sheamus, one of the most popular modern day Superstars, gives a new meaning to the term ‘Fightin’ Irish.’ Hailing from Ireland and having a skin tone and fiery red hair like no other he has impacted the WWE Universe since debuting in 2009 and continues to Brogue Kick his way through any oncoming opponents. After a lengthy injury, he returned to the WWE at the 2014 Royal Rumble, surprising excited fans and reminding them he is in the WWE to stay. Sheamus also has a plethora of Mattel WWE figures available, representing his massive Irish persona at different stages during his career.

Sheamus’ latest Mattel WWE Elite figure is in Elite Series 25, complete with Celtic chain, t-shirt and silver color scheme. His smiling face shows just how much he loves to be a WWE Superstar and his extra articulation in the Elite style helps any fan looking to administer Brogue Kicks or Celtic Crosses to their unsuspecting WWE wrestling figures. This is one of Sheamus’ best Elite offerings and cannot be matched in detail with regards to representing the Celtic Warrior.

Mattel WWE Pay Per View 11 Sheamus!

The figure that began the Sheamus craze, this was simultaneously released as one of Sheamus’ first Mattel WWE figures, identical to the only other release at a time when fans wanted Sheamus more than any other Superstar in Mattel WWE figure form. With a new head sculpt and skin tone matching that of the real thing, Sheamus may be easier to find in the current day and age but at one point his figure was a hot commodity, and this version of it is a perfect example of when fans couldn’t get enough.

Mattel took it upon themselves to offer Fantasy Match Ups for WrestleMania XXX, and came up with the idea of Sheamus facing off with the Ultimate Warrior. Getting a colorful version of Mr. Warrior is one exciting aspect, but getting a smiling, red and black geared Sheamus is another. Completely ready to face off with one of his all time heroes, Sheamus would certainly give Ultimate Warrior a run for his money as the two brawny, popular Superstars faced off.

The latest Mattel WWE Sheamus figure in Series 38 is in turn, possibly the most exciting as it has an accurate and on time depiction of how Sheamus looked at his Royal Rumble 2014 return. Wearing the gold and silver trunks, knee pads and wrist wraps, Sheamus is one of the lucky few to have a completely and fully accurate representation of himself upon re-appearing in the WWE. This was due to a timing coincidence by Mattel that fit perfectly with Sheamus’ unfortunate injury. If anything good were to be said about what came of Sheamus’ injury, it would be that his latest Mattel WWE figure is spot on in as many ways as possible.

Is CM Punk Gone From WWE? What Does This Mean For His Mattel WWE Figures?

The week after Royal Rumble 2014, speculation has run rampant on Twitter, Facebook and amongst the WWE Universe and beyond as to whether or not CM Punk is still with the WWE. Rumor has it that CM Punk, unhappy with his Royal Rumble loss and stature in the company, decided to leave the WWE early with a contract expiring in July and his absence from Monday Night RAW has further fueled this speculation. No one, including CM Punk himself, has made an official statement on the matter but rumors of fights with Vince McMahon, tension with Triple H and more have made people immensely curious about what is going on with the wrestling superstar they consider The Best In The World. Wrestling figure fans have already begun to speculate as to what this means for Mattel WWE CM Punk action figures and their future releases. Could Mattel WWE CM Punk figures be a thing of the past? Mattel WWE Straight Edge Society CM Punk Exclusive!

The Ringside Collectibles Exclusive Mattel WWE Straight Edge Society CM Punk featured camouflage Straight Edge Society garb for the Straight Edge Superstar. Complete with a removable mask and an extremely detailed bald headsculpt, this CM Punk was hugely sought after by Mattel WWE figure fans, sold quickly and remains a hot item to this day. After a forceful takeover of The Nexus from Wade Barrett, CM Punk put his leadership skills to good use and ran the group into the ground while using it as a springboard for his own success. Fans are often reminded of CM Punk’s time in the Royal Rumble surrounded by Nexus members and his infamous “Pipe Bomb” speech that took place during his time as Nexus leader. The Mattel WWE Elite 11 figure captured both his time in the group and his transition to mega superstar, complete with Nexus armband and Nesus t-shirt, both removable so wrestling figure fans could easily have their CM Punk abandon the group if he needed to.

Going so far as to make jokes with the urn of the Undertaker’s late father Paul Bearer, CM Punk reached into the mind of Undertaker to pull out a loss. He didn’t find it, but his memorable elbow drop on to Undertaker and his ongoing grouchy demeanor made the face off extremely memorable.

The latest planned Mattel WWE ECW CM Punk Ringside Collectibles Exclusive figure was revealed by Mattel and Ringside Collectibles at Ringside Fest 2013. A happier, smiling CM Punk included red trunks and boots, a microphone, heart t-shirt and ECW Championship from a time when the new Superstar was doing his best to make a name for himself in the WWE. Many die-hard wrestling fans had already taken to CM Punk, but he slowly but surely made his way atop the WWE ladder, and it began while in ECW. The fate of this Mattel WWE Ringside Collectibles Exclusive ECW CM Punk figure is currently unknown, but upon its release, it will be a fitting tribute as the start of a career in the WWE that many have not wanted to see end.

CM Punk’s Bad Luck – The Number One Entrant in the 2014 Royal Rumble!

CM Punk has had a string of misfortune since returning to the WWE after a loss to The Undertaker at last year’s WWE WrestleMania. He has had run ins with The Shield, The Wyatt Family, and even his boss, Triple H, all trying to suppress his free speaking mind and cause him great harm in the WWE. To add insult to months of injury, Kane, now corporate and no longer any fun, has decided CM Punk would be the perfect first entrant in the Royal Rumble 2014. Punk, weary and war torn, will have his work cut out for him if he wishes to main event WrestleMania.

Mattel WWE Battle Packs 25 CM Punk vs. Undertaker!

CM Punk’s hard hearted, grouchy demeanor came to a head at WrestleMania 29 when he faced off with Undertaker. Claiming he could beat the streak, Punk faced off with The Dead Man and attempted to take away his WrestleMania glory. Immortalized in Mattel WWE Battle Packs 25, CM Punk has black boots, knee pads, trunks with white stars, and a dark and angry, clenched teeth mouth, reminiscent of a Ninja Turtle. The Battle Pack also included an Undertaker figure and an urn accessory, based on the urn CM Punk took from Undertaker that represented his late father, Paul Bearer.

CM Punk’s lighter side might be found in the new Mattel WWE Slam City figures. This two pack, including CM Punk, The Miz and a breakable table, has two Slam City style versions of Punk and Miz, both with stretchable, launchable arms. These new figures have fun, wild features to make play more heavily based around tossing your figures around. Perfect for CM Punk trying to cheer himself up after a loss to the Undertaker.

Mattel WWE Super Strikers CM Punk!

With new and improved features, the Mattel WWE Super Strikers feature signature moves related to their Superstars. This CM Punk figure has the perfected ability to administer a Go to Sleep, or GTS! Placing another figure on its shoulders, wrestling figure fans can administer some knees to faces and finish the match. Taking it a step further, this CM Punk figure brings entirely new meaning to the term ‘paper champion’ with the inclusion of a cardboard World Heavyweight Championship.

Mattel WWE Series 36 CM Punk!

The latest Mattel WWE CM Punk, and hopefully his final grouchy and grumpy appearance in the line, finds the Straight Edge Superstar in Mattel WWE Series 36. With black boots, black knee pads and black trunks with orange stars and stripes, this CM Punk figure still has the angry face and still wants to end Undertaker’s streak. Mattel WWE wrestling figure fans can use this CM Punk to take the steps towards enlightenment, moving on to rage against the machine and the authority instead of worrying about supernatural beings he cannot defeat.

It isn’t impossible for CM Punk to last through the entire 2014 Royal Rumble and win to go on to WrestleMania and face the WWE World Heavyweight Champion in the main event, but his work is cut out for him!

Batista Returns To Enter The 2014 Royal Rumble!

Dave Batista showed up on WWE Monday Night RAW, returning to the WWE and ready to challenge for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. The Animal was ring ready, putting his attacking skills to work on Alberto Del Rio, delivering the first Batista-Bomb in a WWE ring in nearly 4 years! He also confronted Randy Orton and told him his sights were set on the Viper directly.

After making his grand return, the WWE Universe went wild and with no surprise, Batista’s current Mattel WWE offerings became even more popular.

First up, a classic style Batista in Mattel WWE Series 37. This figure lacks his current tattoos, making him more accurate to the WrestleMania timeframe he is portraying. With an itty bitty chin hair for intimidation factor and strapped boots, this is the best old school offering for the Animal.

: Batista from the Mattel WWE WrestleMania XXX Battle Packs!

Included in a Mattel WWE Battle Pack celebrating WrestleMania XXX, this Batista figure is a modern day version of The Animal. It has silver and black boots and all of his current, updated tattoos based on the last time he was scanned by Mattel. His beard is a bit different than how he appeared on RAW, but it’s very close to how he looked before returning. The Battle Pack also included The Beast Brock Lesnar, pitting The Animal and The Beast against each other for the first time.

Batista is the easy favorite to win the 2014 Royal Rumble, but he has his work cut out for him as 29 other entrants will no doubt want to main event WrestleMania as well. Good luck, Animal! Walk alone…like you always have.

Roman Reigns Set To Make An Impact At Royal Rumble 2014?!

Roman Reigns has been the standout, powerhouse member of The Shield for the past few months and he continues to break away from his fellow Shield members as they often run into conflict with each other. They remain a unit as of the posting of this blog, but many WWE wrestling fans speculate that at Royal Rumble 2014, Roman Reigns will have a huge turn in the ring and have to choose between his singles career and his membership in The Shield. Only time will tell if Reigns will go on the offensive, but his sheer size, strength and ability have caused discussion in the wake of the 2014 Royal Rumble. Fans of Roman Reigns have several options in the Mattel WWE world to put him on top when playing with wrestling figures.

Mattel WWE Battle Packs 24 Roman Reigns & Seth Rollins!

Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins both debuted as the first ever Mattel WWE The Shield figures and Reigns figure is spot on. With tattoos placed on his shoulder just in time for release, Mattel was able to turn the figure out in a way that fans would appreciate, finally adding members of the justice serving group to their roster.

Mattel WWE Elite 26 Roman Reigns!

In Mattel WWE Elite 26, Roman Reigns got an entire arm tattoo treatment and extra articulation to give the beastly brawler a more accurate look. With accurate sizing and a molded vest, this version of Reigns came with a barricade to let anyone and everyone re-enact the monstrous spears that Roman Reigns loves to dish out.

Mattel WWE Series 37 Roman Reigns!

Reign’s latest Mattel WWE figure comes in Series 37 with a shouting, open mouthed head sculpt that showcases just how wildly powerful he can get when he is in the ring. With a different style of molded vest, this represents Reign’s first appearance at WrestleMania and embodies his intensity.

Despite his newness, Roman Reigns is an easy dark-horse favorite to make a massive attack at the 2014 Royal Rumble and the question isn’t so much his ability, but whether or not that ability will tear apart his team.

Jake The Snake Roberts Returns!…To Mattel WWE?!

The WWE Universe exploded with surprise when Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts returned to the WWE for the first time in well over 15 years at Old School RAW. Bringing a new snake with him, he gave Dean Ambrose the surprise of his life and looked better than ever. Fans immediately began to speculate as to what the extent of Roberts’ return would be. Would it be full time, a one off appearance or perhaps an entry in the 2014 Royal Rumble? Along with career speculation, there is always wrestling figure speculation. Jake Roberts has been lucky enough to receive two Mattel WWE treatments so far, one in Mattel WWE Legends Series 2 and one in a two pack with The Viper, Randy Orton. Despite generally keeping his outfits similar, here are additional attires that many believe would make great Mattel WWE Jake the Snake figures:

Jake The Snake Roberts Mattel WWE Return?

This standard look is another of Jake’s many attires from his peak in the WWE. With this version sporting a caricature of his own face and stylistic ‘snake hair,’ it would make a colorful, well designed Mattel WWE figure. Of course, the inclusion of Damien would help.

Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts at WrestleMania with Alice Cooper!

One of Jake the Snake’s most famous WrestleMania appearances came with famed shock-rocker Alice Cooper in his corner at WrestleMania III. The tights Jake wore reflected Cooper’s wild style, perfectly capturing the friendship between the two and Jake the Snake’s WrestleMania Appearance. Notable WrestleMania appearances include WrestleMania V against Andre the Giant and WrestleMania VI against Million Dollar Man.

Jake Roberts vs. Steve Austin – King of the Ring 1996!

Many argue this match is the beginning of the Attitude Era, as Steve Austin defeated Jake the Snake Roberts at King of the Ring 1996. A memorable match indeed, also memorable for Jake’s vest and teal ring attire featuring snake designs. The ‘reformed Christian’ would soon go on to compete for ECW and would not return to the WWE for 15 years.

The next step for Jake The Snake Roberts in Mattel WWE form depends on whether or not his appearance was only once. If he continues to show up, or even competes at Royal Rumble 2014, a modern day Snake figure would be ideal for Mattel WWE collectors and fans.

Mattel WWE Series 38 Pre-Orders Now Available!

The Mattel WWE Series 38 wrestling action figures are now available for PRE-ORDER at WrestlingFigures.com! While we can only speculate as to what they will look like right now, the set will include:

Sheamus
Vickie Guerrero
Chris Jericho
Kofi Kingston
The Miz
Dolph Ziggler

Sheamus has yet to return to the WWE, but speculation around Royal Rumble 2014 proves that anything is possible. Whether or not he will debut a new attire on television remains to be seen, but this release will most likely see standard Sheamus attire.

While taking a leave of absence from WWE, Chris Jericho works on other projects like a new podcast and his successful rock band, Fozzy. Fans were disappointed that Jericho’s new tattoo has not been featured on his wrestling action figures due to cross licensing issues. It is no telling, however, as to when or if Mattel works cross licensing issues out, so while there is usually no chance, Jerichoholics continue to speculate.

Dolph Ziggler has suffered from concussions recently and it has taken a toll on his career, bringing his leaps forward to a screeching halt. However, he remains a fan favorite and someone that die-hard wrestling enthusiasts wait to savor a big moment along with. This figure will most likely feature one of his colorful, elaborate, and very form fitting, wrestling trunk designs.

The Miz is a former World Champion and remains a mainstay on the WWE roster. Though he is not currently in title contention, he hopes to rekindle some contender fire at Royal Rumble 2014 and after changing facial hair styles, will probably have a newer look than his previous Mattel WWE basic series figures.

Kofi Kingston has sported long tights as of late when hopping into the squared circle and while it is too early to tell, it is entirely possible this Mattel WWE Series 38 Kofi Kingston figure will feature his new look and new attitude.

Vickie Guerrero has been sparsely seen since being drafted to Smackdown but she still makes an immediate presence felt when her trademark voice rings out in any arena around the world. Already having two Mattel WWE figures, the demand for an authority will keep Vickie Guerrero a hot commodity amongst wrestling figure collectors for years to come.

The Animal Returns? Batista Back in Mattel WWE Form?

The wrestling rumor mill is always busy this time a year as the WWE Royal Rumble is only about a month from Christmas and it’s always filled with ideas and thoughts as to who would surprise the WWE Universe and show up for a shot at the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Recently, ‘The Animal’ Batista has been rumored to be making a return to the WWE after an almost 4 year absence. Here are two of his most popular Mattel WWE figures and another which could hint towards his return:

Mattel WWE Series 1 Batista!

Batista was a big part of the Mattel WWE Series launch, as seen here in his Series 1 wrestling action figure. With tattoos accurate to the time and some bright, classy red trunks, Batista was showcased as one of the star members of the WWE roster.

Mattel WWE Elite 6 Batista!

In Elite 6, Batista came back with a bad attitude and more tattoos. Wearing too-cool-for-school sunglasses, Batista’s final Elite figure before leaving the WWE was rude, crude, and exclaimed that basketballs don’t hold grudges. This has been Batista’s most sought after Mattel WWE action figure.

Mattel WWE WrestleMania XXX Batista vs. Brock Lesnar!

To commemorate WrestleMania XXX, Mattel released this Batista vs. Brock Lesnar ‘Fantasy Matchup’ Battle Pack showcasing a possible fight between The Animal and The Beast. Though Brock sports a classic look, Batista appears as though he never left and is ready to step back into the ring. The timing may be coincidental, but it seems as though Batista’s return to the WWE is imminent!
