With Hulk Hogan quitting his managerial job at TNA Wrestling and testing the ‘free agent’ market, speculation is ‘running wild’ as to whether or not he will return to what many consider his home, the WWE. So far, Hulk has teased returning to the company, though in what capacity remains to be seen. After numerous back surgeries and aging body parts it’s impossible to tell if Hulk Hogan could wrestle another match, but wrestling figure fans like to keep their interests elsewhere. If Hogan were to rejoin WWE, the question of his Mattel WWE action figure would become not an if but a when. Here are some of his most famous looks we would like to see in Mattel WWE form:

Hulk Rules! Hulkamania Height Hulk Hogan!

At Hulkamania’s highest peak, Hogan appeared at times in the above attire, pointing to his fans, preaching for them to eat their vitamins and say their prayers. The classic yellow and red look with a removable Hulk Hogan shirt would be unprecedented as the shirt has never been produced on a classic WWE action figure.

Bash At The Beach 1996 Hulk Hogan!

It was the day the Hulkamaniacs cried. WCW Bash At The Beach 1996 saw Hulk Hogan shock the world and turn on those he claimed to love the most, the people. Taking mere moments to become ‘the third man,’ this would be the last time Hogan would don the red and yellow for years and years to come.

Since 2002, Hulk Hogan has been proving that Hulk STILL rules, as he has donned the red and yellow almost always ever since. This would be a ‘modern’ day Hulk Hogan, proving he can still hop in the ring with the best of them and proving that Hulkamaniacs worldwide will always love, support and cherish his presence.

Jack Swagger…a REAL All American American!

Jack Swagger took a leave of absence from the WWE in late 2012, only to re-emerge in 2013 more American than ever. He had always touted being an All American American, but with his ‘uncle’ Zeb Colter, suddenly his ideals were different. He was more American than ever, no longer sporting a golden boy smile but a rough, scruffy look and a huskier base than ever. It was no surprise that his new, subtle changes would be something fans of Mattel WWE figures sought to update their collections with. After a few hiccups and plenty of time, finally Jack Swagger arrived in Mattel WWE Elite 26, simply telling the rest of the world “Don’t Tread On Me!”

For those looking for a more basic Swagger, the same updated look luckily appeared in Mattel WWE Series 36. We The People, indeed:

Jack Swagger’s new ideals have given him a unique quality that even caught the attention of political figureheads like Glenn Beck. Perhaps it wouldn’t be the same without the addition of his Uncle Zeb Colter, whose Tea Party-like ideals have influenced Swagger. Luckily, he will be able to accompany either of your Swagger figures as he is appearing in an upcoming Mattel WWE WrestleMania Heritage set!

WrestleMania XXX Elite Mattel WWE Set…Screwjob Style!

Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart…once bitter enemies, they have a newfound friendship that the WWE Universe adores and is proud of. The infamous Montreal Screwjob saw Shawn Michaels working with Vince McMahon to make Bret Hart look silly in his hometown of Montreal, Canada. This moment in wrestling history is famous for being the catalyst to the Attitude Era and causing a grudge that lasted for years and years. Now, Shawn and Bret have buried the hatchet, but the memory of the Montreal Screwjob remains in the minds of many. Mattel has chosen both Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels as Elites for their WrestleMania XXX Elite Series:

Shawn Michaels was in cahoots with the boss, but it didn’t matter as time went on as he proved himself to the WWE Universe. At Ringside Fest X his upcoming Mattel WWE Elite figure was sporting DX style tights that action figure collectors have been waiting for.

It has been a big year for The Shield as most stables in the WWE don’t last for more than a sneeze. The Shield celebrated 1 year of existence at this year’s Survivor Series Pay Per View and are still seemingly going strong. Being the hot team that they are, they are bound to have hugely anticipated Mattel WWE figures. Debuting in both Elite and WWE Series figures, check out what we have seen from Mattel for The Shield below:

Dean Ambrose in Mattel WWE Series 33!

Dean Ambrose became the first Mattel WWE Shield figure to be released, with his debut figure in Series 33. Complete with molded vest, it was clear Mattel would not be pulling any punches when it came to The Shield!

Mattel WWE Battle Packs 24 The Shield!

Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns completed the trio soon after in Battle Packs 24, both getting the molded vest treatment with their debut figures. This set came with a folding chair to add extra punch.

In Elite 25, Seth Rollins received Elite articulation and included a table AND super size ladder, referencing The Shield’s powerful TLC Pay Per View match from December 2012.

The Shield are one of the hottest teams in wrestling today, and no doubt one of the hottest wrestling teams of the past decade. 2013 has most certainly been their year, and they show no signs of stopping the delivery of their unique brand of justice.

Everyone remembers CM Punk holding the WWE Championship hostage in 2012 during the “Summer of Punk,” but plenty forget when he and the boss, Mr. McMahon, actually took to facing off in the ring! Mattel commemorated that in Battle Packs 23, giving both Vince McMahon and CM Punk (complete with a new facial hair style) kendo sticks to even the odds…or maybe just to sword fight with!

Arguably the definitive ‘Paul Heyman Guy,’ Brock Lesnar holds as much respect for the ECW founder as Heyman does for Brock. A match made in heaven as two of the most notorious figures in wrestling history team up and Paul Heyman debuts in the Mattel WWE line.

Legendary Manager Paul Bearer a Mattel WWE Figure!

Despite tragically passing away in 2013, Paul Bearer’s legacy and mark made on the wrestling business were felt throughout the entire lead up to this year’s WrestleMania as CM Punk taunted the Undertaker over the death of his father.

Although a controversial angle, it became clear that there were no other characters quite like Paul Bearer and will never be again. In accordance with the fact that there can only be one, Mattel debuted Paul Bearer’s first Mattel WWE figure at Ringside Fest X:

As he looks to be following in traditional Build-A-Figure fashion, we won’t know for sure until we get our hands on this figure exactly how he will be released but in the meantime attention can be paid to his spot on likeness. You can almost hear his distinct voice and see his distinct head wobble.

Eventually, the figure will make a perfect accompanying piece with the Mattel WWE Elite 23 Undertaker figure, a flashback to his New Generation Era attire and not quite complete without his manager:

For the modern day fan, a better fit would be the Undertaker vs. CM Punk in Mattel WWE Battle Packs 25, commemorating the personal brawl between the two Superstars over the memory of Paul Bearer himself:

Frighteningly real and entering the arena only by the light of a bayou lantern, The Wyatt Family have enthralled the WWE Universe since debuting this summer. Making quick work of WWE roster staples like Kane and The Miz, it was only a matter of time before the Wyatt family received their own Mattel WWE figures.
