Our Favorites For the WrestleMania 30 Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal!

Mattel WWE Series 33 Big Show!

The first ever Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal will take place at WrestleMania 30! Featuring 30 of the WWE’s best and brightest Superstars (three of which remain unknown), all competitors will begin in the ring until one Superstar is left standing. That Superstar will take home the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal trophy and have incredible bragging rights. Anyone with a collection of 30 or more Mattel WWE wrestling figures can stage their own version of this incredible match-up. We have chosen six staples of the match, that also happen to be our possible odds-on favorites to win, that are must haves for anyone looking to recreate the event.

Mattel WWE Series 33 Big Show!

Mattel WWE Series 33 Big Show!

The easy favorite to win due to his sheer size and constant comparisons to the legendary Andre The Giant himself, the Big Show is one of the biggest Superstars to ever set foot in a WWE ring. Unless the collective WWE Superstars can find a way to power against Big Show, he can use his size and endurance to plow his way through the competition. His Mattel WWE Series 33 figure, with angry demeanor and camouflage print, can easily hand out WMD’s to your other wrestling figures for the win.

Mattel WWE Series 31 Alberto Del Rio!

Mattel WWE Series 31 Alberto Del Rio!

Alberto Del Rio has been distracted as of late, forced to face off with Batista because of harsh words the two had for each other upon his return. However, he has since turned his attentions back towards being the best competitor he can be and set his sights on the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal trophy. His Mattel WWE Series 31 figure has one of the most spot on likenesses for a wrestling figure of all time and perfectly represents just how driven Alberto Del Rio can be when he sets aside his arrogance.

Mattel WWE Series 38 Sheamus!

Mattel WWE Series 38 Sheamus!

Since his return to the WWE after injury at the 2014 Royal Rumble, Sheamus has been working off great momentum despite not winning. He has found his way to avoid vicious attacks at the hands of Christian and won match after match, looking to ignore the thorns in his side and get back in the picture for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. With a win in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, he could cement the clarity of his presence in pool of Superstars after the title. His Mattel WWE Series 38 figure is the most up-to-date version of the Celtic Warrior fans could get at this point.

Mattel WWE Series 36 Christian!

Mattel WWE Series 36 Christian!

With desperation and dangerousness part of Christian’s modern day strategy, he has been even more aggressive than ever before. If the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal will lead him to another shot at the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, Christian will do all he can to win, trophy or not. Using power, agility and a bit of sneaky avoidance, Christian could be the last man standing. Christian’s Mattel WWE Series 36 figure is doused in a lucky green and determined to gain one more match.

Mattel WWE Series 38 Kofi Kingston!

Mattel WWE Series 38 Kofi Kingston!

The Mattel WWE Series 38 Kofi Kingston wears newly designed, long tights in green and black, showcasing Kofi’s new wild attire choice. With this refreshing design and optimistic outlook, Kofi is better than ever and ready to make himself a household name once and for all. If Kofi manages to snag the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal trophy, it can no longer be denied that he is ready to be matched up with WWE’s top Superstars.

Mattel WWE Series 34 Rey Mysterio!

Mattel WWE Series 34 Rey Mysterio!

Rey Mysterio has oft been considered an underdog due to his size, but never his wrestling ability. With a larger than life persona, Mysterio always has a chance to be the overall favorite in any multi-man match. He will do his best to prove that his stature in the eyes of the other WWE Superstars isn’t based upon height, but on actions and performance. He would prove his iconic status with a win of the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal trophy, going down in history as a giant in his own right. In Mattel WWE Series 34, Rey’s latest colorful outfit provides a massive question mark in the middle, but there is no question as to the possibility of his winning at WrestleMania 30.

Mattel WWE Elite 29 Lineup Revealed!

The Mattel WWE Elite 29 lineup has been revealed, and it is filled with surprises that WWE wrestling figure fans were not quite expecting. With veterans and newcomers, the lineup is fresh and will include:

  • CM Punk
  • Goldust
  • Damien Sandow
  • Erick Rowan
  • Luke Harper
  • Andre The Giant

CM Punk has made his way into another Mattel WWE wrestling figure set, this time an Elite set, despite leaving WWE for good. Unsure of the possibly look at this point, wrestling figure fans can only speculate as to whether or not this will be a good send-off for the Best in the World.

Providing intellect to the masses in the form of teachings and musings, Damien Sandow brings his unique brand of intelligence to another Mattel WWE set. Fans may expect a Money in the Bank briefcase accessory or a possible removable t-shirt of Damien Sandow’s theory of evolution.

Luke Harper, the gigantic and dirty-shirted behemoth of the Wyatt Family, sports a beard before sporting beards were a thing in the WWE and wears flexible blue jeans. He is ready to attack and with Elite articulation, he will be even more ready to dish out the Wyatt’s brand of punishment.

Erick Rowan is also featured in Elite 29, complete with his bright red hair and hopefully a removable sheep mask accessory, which would delight fans of both WWE figures and the Wyatt Family. He currently wrestles with a jumpsuit attire, so it remains to be seen how Mattel will produce him, either similar to The Shield with molded gear or with a cloth set.

Goldust’s inclusion surprised and excited many Mattel WWE wrestling figure fans as he hasn’t enjoyed an Elite figure since Elite 6. The question remains, however, of whether or not this treatment will be a modern day or classic look at Goldust, who has sported so many elaborate and different designs over the years. Fans will nonetheless be happy to get ‘Goldie’ back amongst their collection.

Andre The Giant, while featured in a short lived Matty Collector internet exclusive Mattel WWE Legends run, remains one of the most sought after and legendary WWE Superstars of all time. With his massive size and actually incredible wrestling ability, fans will continue to speak of him in ways that haven’t been matched. Sporting different hairstyles and different wrestling attires over his career, it remains a mystery as to what this Andre the Giant will look like, but it will be hard for Mattel to  move away from his iconic WrestleMania III look.
